You know when you smell something and then suddenly you're projected back into time, to a situation where that smell was on the background? A memory by smells and sounds ... there's a special name for it I guess. I once learned about it in Psychology, but I can't quite remember the article.
The thing is: I have a bad memory. A really bad memory. I only remember ups and downs, and mostly I remember the downs: the fights, the discussions, ... with friends, in school, at home, ... I never seem to remember the really good times. I should have the ability to mentally photograph reeaaally good moments in the past. God I could use them. Because I feel like I'm an old twat with no condition, no memory and I'm developping an annoying stutter. I think I need to see a psych =) perhaps it's an attention disorder haha!
Anyway what I was trying to say about the smells and the sounds ... I really have that: when I put on an old CD I really feel the feelings again when I was playing that CD. Like there's this CD when I was playing an RPG game, there's this CD with some reaallly good music that made me cry ... all good times!
And recently ... the Christmas smells! The way our living room smelled the first day the Christmas tree was installed! Or that time we made fondue, the whole week smelled of it ... And I liked it! Now it's gone :( Poef! Gone are the hollidays too! I'll sure miss you Christmas time!
I hope this time next year I'm successful and happy in whatever I do. If it's a job, a travel or even some creative-I-don't-get-paid-for-this-experiment, If I'm happy then I am happy for it now.
